The sketch is looted from a corpse found southeast of the Andruil's Messenger landmark (positioned without delay south of the Fade rift); see Exalted Plains aspect quest Rifts in the Old Plains.
To find the spot marked on the map, travel to the Dalish Encampment, then go back and forth west and slightly south to the Ancient Baths. From there, the usage of the sketch as a information, trip to the stone pillar due south of the Ancient Baths. The spot is on the riverbank southwest of and beneath the pillar.
